It all began, Wednesday morning at 8:10am. After picking up my dad at the North Quincy T stop, we headed to Panera to grab bagels. With full stomachs, we headed back to campus. We disassembled some furniture, sealed a few more boxes, then picked up the Penske (affectionately named Pete) after grabbing lunch at one of my favorite South Shore restaurants, Tennessee’s BBQ.

We, along with my great crew of movers (Robert and Sons, Mat the RD and a few of his summer residents) filled the truck (all 16 feet) with all of my personal effects from approximately 3:00pm-6:30pm. Even better – the red couch made the cut (e.g. got through my apartment door and down three flights of stairs).
We got cleaned up, went to dinner at IHOP, then packed the car with the things I would need for my first month in California. Then, I drove the car up the car carrier and dad strapped it one. We left ENC at 10:21pm, beginning our journey with 18002 miles on the truck. Our first and final stop for the night was Mystic, Connecticut. We spent the night at a nice Days Inn that had a pool we didn’t even get the chance to enjoy.
