2011 = Books, Books & More Books!

2011 was a good year!  A few highlights include ... my niece turned one, my 10-year college reunion, being introduced to Pinterest, completing by third calendar year at NNU, and readinga lot!  58 books (and 1 novella) to be exact; totaling 18,088 pages.  Reading is relaxing, provides an escape and gives me joy!

After posting my 2011 book tally on Facebook, a friend asked me to share my top three books of 2011... you think that would be easy, but I read some great stuff.  Here are my top four (I can't follow directions)...
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Jonathan Safran Foer
One Thousand Gifts
Ann Voskamp

This Side of Brightness
Colum McCann
The Story of Beautiful Girl
Rachel Simon
Honorable Mentions:
Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett
Hotel Angeline: A Novel with 36 Voices (Authors from the Pacific Northwest)
The Ghost of the Capitol Theatre by Susan La Riviere (my dad, "Rex Marvel" serves as one of the main characters)

What were your favorite books of 2011?
