Santa Ana season has begun ... it is not my favorite SoCal season! My nose runs, my hair whips around and it means everyone is on fire watch. Early this morning, a fire broke out north of my home in Porter Ranch. As of 5 o'clock this evening, over 3,000 acres have burned. Here is a picture taken by "clownfish" on Flickr earlier today. The tree area just above the large parking lot (bottom 1/3 of the picture) is the apartment complex where I live.

Santa Ana Winds = Fires
Santa Ana season has begun ... it is not my favorite SoCal season! My nose runs, my hair whips around and it means everyone is on fire watch. Stay safe! I heard on the news that the winds are dying down. I hope that's right.

The smoke makes the fire look ominous. Fortunately you have a buffer between the fire and your home.
