Newport, Rhode Island

I am alive ... I can't believe it has been over a month since I last posted. A big apology for my faithful readers. It has been a nutty month, but even with all the nuts (walnuts, pecans, peanuts and cashews) time has not permitted me to post all the stories, nor would some of it be worth reliving again.

So, you'll have to settle with an update on my trip to Newport, Rhode Island ... home of rich peoples' summer cottages --- that is if you call 70 room home a cottage. Would you believe the Vanderbilts and others only spent 6-8 weeks in these cottages a year? Below a few pictures of the front and back of The Breaker House (the largest of the mansions).
